What ExpertMovers is

ExpertMovers is an independent directory of moving companies built from public FMCSA registration records, with guides to moving rules and a form for requesting quotes. ExpertMovers does not transport household goods. We are not affiliated with the FMCSA, the U.S. Department of Transportation, any state agency, or any company listed in the directory.

Directory information

• Listings reflect public federal records as of the date we collected them. Records change: a company's status, authority or contact details may have changed since.
• A listing is not a review, rating, endorsement or recommendation. Fleet sizes are self-reported to the FMCSA; we leave out figures that are clearly implausible.
• Before you hire any mover, verify its current record yourself — for example with our USDOT lookup and the FMCSA — and check any state license your move requires.

Guides

Our guides summarize federal and state rules and link to the sources we used, with the date we checked them. They are general information, not legal advice, and rules change. For a decision that matters, read the source or ask a qualified professional.

Quote requests

• When you request quotes, we pass your request to independent moving companies and moving brokers serving your route. Any agreement for moving services is between you and that company; we are not a party to it.
• Quotes, prices, availability and service are set by those companies. We don't guarantee that you'll receive a quote or what it will cost.
• You agree to provide accurate information and to be contacted about your move by phone, text message or email. See our privacy policy.

Acceptable use

Don't use the site to submit false requests, to scrape it in a way that disrupts it, or to misrepresent yourself as a listed company. Company data in the directory is public record; our page designs, text and illustrations are ours.

No warranty; limitation of liability

The site is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, ExpertMovers is not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site, from information in the directory, or from services provided by any moving company you find or are contacted by through the site.

Corrections

If a listing about your company is out of date, it will update when the FMCSA record does. To report an error on the site, use the contact form.

Changes

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version.
